Mii News #1

Long time no see!

It's been a while but there's a reason for it!

We've finally created our official company Wooble Sheep, which is where the majority of the rest of my work will be appearing.

I'll always keep you updated with the latest things right here so you won't miss out on a thing :D

I was asked to create a picture of someone's D&D Character by the name of Penny, here is the final result~

The second picture is a caricature commission~

Pictures for a fantasy project

While I've been off and not posted a few pictures in a while (sorry blogger ) I've finally got a new set to show!

These pictures are portraits I designed (and various changes) of a few character from a fantasy book I was working on with Jose/Jack, the untitled fantasy book will be published on amazon.

It was a fun project for the time~

Oatley Academy: Homework # 1 pt 2

I did some more work on the gazelle last weekend so here's an update~

I am really enjoying this new way of painting I've been using on this project, and infact I've actually started using more of a painterly style to the rest of my work too (which I'm sure I'll post up here sooner or later).

While I've been working on this piece I've been embracing what I love about drawing which is seeing the sketching lines, something about it makes it seem... really lovely for the lack of a better word.

Listening to a few of Oatley's podcasts have re brought back the joys of drawing, painting etc.
The most prominent thing that I've remembered was about his take on rendering, and how it seems we mark a work's finished status based on how rendered it is, and realising that its not really that important, its a nice eye opener~

Oatley Academy: Gazelle Sculpting # 1

I really liked the Gazelle piece I made so I have decided to make a sculpture of it too! Very excited :D

Oatley Academy: Homework # 1

As of last week I joined Oatley Academy to expand my horizons Artistically so I'll also post my homework here :D

(Also apparently this is my 1000th post exciting :) )

The first task was to take an animal and a painted portrait and combine the two. I eventually settled on a Gazelle and "Gypsy Girl with a Basque Drum" by artist William-Adolphe Bouguereau.

Gazelle Studies

After this I'll be exploring atmospheric lighting ~
