Developing Rhea Monroe: Pt1

I created the first variation of Rhea and realised I didn't quite like how she looked, she also didn't look as disinterested as I wanted (The look is related to her personality) and it didn't have the kind of character in her face I wanted either. Number 6 was getting to something I liked but I couldn't get it in this style.

On the second attempt I thought I managed to create a decent un interested look on number 3,  but I liked the lips on number 5 so number 4 combined 3's face with 5's lips.
I've chosen to go with number 4 as it seems to have the most character.

René Facial Expression

René doesn't have that many expressions, just worried, stressed, a sad happy face (weak happy). These expressions cover the majority.
I think when it comes to blendshapes I will create emotion blendshapes so he can have an immediate worried face, Stressed face etc.

Family and Friends Blog Creation

Today I will finally be making the Family and friends website where their adventures in comic (and soon to be animated) form will reside from now on.

I have been working on a new style for them since the beginning of this year and I finally found one I liked so any exciting looking sketches from Family and Friends will be posted here too.

And as a starter I have a couple of sketches in the style I'll be developing for them below.

René is the male lead in my 'Mothers Day' Story he is a 'bad guy' but the little girl he see's softens him up on Mothers day.

I quite prefer the first and third one (especially cause his nose makes him look so rough and tumble which would be a good contrast to the little girl).

I like the idea of him having a short torso and really long legs. In relation to the little girl who will be short and just about up to his knees.

These thumbnails were for "The Golden Balls" story which I've decided to not do.

These thumbnails are for the "Papa Greatnose" story which I've decided to pursue.
I want to focus on the soldier who eavesdrops when Papa Greatnose gives advice and use that advice to help his army.

I quite like the idea of having  a pathetic soldier, so I'd like to develop the third picture further.

Of course its subject to change as the days go on.

Expanding on the idea of the pathetic soldier.
(I really like the idea of having a weak hero, because the animations to show his 'uselessness' will be funny / colourful.
