I'm quite concerened with my work at the moment, mainly with the size it is. I created a 16: 9 frame to draw my work inside of, I was doing a animation test and the program (when selected to 16 :9) and the actual image never paired up, it was as if the square I've drawn is widescreen but smaller than 16 : 9.

I'm worried about producing the work on the crit day in this way since I still can't seem to find out whats wrong with it let alone how to change it.

 

(The lightly drawn black square in the middle shows the 16 : 9 scale I've currently been working to. There is a lot of white space and I just don't know how to close that gap without masking)

I really don't know what to do..

Animation Influence's for Archer

Because Archers a motorbike and he's suppost to speed past I was wondering how I could draw this, after bouncing ideas of my father he told me to look at the Flash, and Futurama episode 300 big boys in which Fry drinks 100 coffees and becomes incredibly fast.

After watching these videos it furthers my original idea for drawing someone going past quickly, there are very few transition frames of the actual person, but speed lines are where the person would be.

Sylvain Chomet is a French comic writer, animator and film director.

Sylvain Chomet Works at Disney
The 25 minute short, called La vieille dame et les pigeons, eventually wound up nominated for Best Short Film Oscar within the animation category, though the film lost to a Pixar production entitled Geri’s Game. As a result of the movie’s notoriety, however, Chomet was invited to join the staff of Disney Animation Studio’s Toronto location. Unfortunately, Sylvain’s time at the Mouse House only furthered his belief that he should be working independently. In an interview with The Guardian, Sylvain remarked, "I learned an awful lot from [Disney] – how not to do it. The artists have no say any more. The suits decide everything now, and there are so many of them. It is like the dinosaurs, it has got too big and the brain is too small”" ( Nusair.about.com)

Chomet's next movie was the traditionally-animated feature film The Illusionist (L'Illusionniste), which premiered at the Berlinale in February 2010, after many delays (it was first planned for release in 2007) The Illusionist, like Chomet's previous work, has its roots in mid twentieth century popular French culture. It is based on an unproduced script that Jacques Tati had written in 1956 as a personal letter to his estranged eldest daughter, Chomet says that "Tati wanted to move from purely visual comedy and try an emotionally deeper story" and states that "It's not a romance, it’s more the relationship between a dad and a daughter". It cost an estimated £10 million to make, and was funded by Pathé Pictures. and stars an animated version of Tati himself. It was originally conceived by Tati as a journey of love and discovery that takes two characters across western Europe to Prague.

Andrew Stanton (1965 - Present)

Andrew Stanton is an is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and occasional voice actor based at Pixar Animation Studios. His film work includes writing and directing Finding Nemo and WALL-E; both films earned him the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Wall-e (2008)

Wall e was one of the most universal films because for the most part, before the humans were introduced, Wall-e Eva and the other machines did not speak actual words they could say few choice words. and for the most part words were not needed to understand the chemistry between the characters.
